About this programme
Studying dialogue requires a different approach than studying written language. In dialogue, we don't always use complete sentences and we provide interactive feedback ("mhm", "huh?"). In this course you will learn the basic methods for collecting and analyzing dialogue data. After this course you will be familiar with a variety of ways of studying dialogue, quantitatively and qualitatively, ranging from experimental methods and corpus linguistics to conversation analysis and formal approaches.
