About this programme
The course introduces basic theoretical and practical knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It covers fundamental cartographic principles for creating thematic maps as well as various methods for processing and analysing geographical data. In addition, the course explores the way geographic data can be obtained from different authorities, the production of simple maps using GIS software, and the application of methods for geographic data analysis. Literature lists are published at the latest one month ahead of the course start date.
