About this programme
The course explores historical and contemporary perspectives on popular cultural representations of artificial intelligence, including robots, androids, and non‑humanoid forms of AI. The course focuses on how these portrayals of artificial intelligence in popular culture can be understood and analyzed through critical theories and questions related to gender, sexuality, disability, ethnicity, and class, as well as through media historical perspectives on imaginary media technologies. Particular attention is given to how artificial intelligence has been depicted in film and television series.
