The course deals with equipment and methods for X-ray diagnostics, primarily for clinical applications, and provides training in optimizing and controlling such equipment. The course covers techniques and methods in for instance conventional x-ray diagnostics, computer tomography, image quality and patient dose optimization. Furthermore, description of image delivery systems with scattering and transfer functions, Fourier transformation and digital image processing is discussed.
