About this programme
LLB Law with International Relations combines a law degree with global politics. Prepare yourself for a rewarding career dealing with legal systems and world affairs. At Royal Holloway you’ll study foundations of UK law such as public, criminal, contract, tort, and EU law. Explore international relations topics like global governance, human rights, and security. You can also choose to specialise in asylum, immigration, international criminal law, or media law in optional modules. From day one, you’ll build skills in legal argument, political analysis, and policy research. You’ll apply what you learn through mock courts, legal simulations, and real-world opportunities such as Support Through Court and Street Law. Learn from experts in the Departments of Law and Criminology, and Politics, International Relations and Philosophy. You’ll also be able to join the Student Law Society, offering valuable networking and professional development. Graduates go on to roles in law, government, NGOs and diplomacy, with many pursuing solicitor or barrister qualifications. We sometimes make changes to our courses to improve your experience. If this happens, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Constitutions establish and control the powers of the state and regulate the relationship between the state and its citizens. This module examines the UK’s uncodified constitution, primarily considering the main characteristics of the British system of government, including the division of powers between the legislature, executive, and judiciary and between Westminster and the devolved region
