The course focuses on the development of practical skills, practical exploration of ideas, concepts across a range of different mediums, methods, techniques and conceptualisation that are considered fundamental to Art & Design. When undertaking practical assessments, you are expected to perform to an industry standard and use your own initiative to research required topics. The programme is designed to prepare you for employment in the exciting world of creative industries within areas such as visual art, Fine Art, Print, Ceramics, Fashion and more. You will also undertake termly industry related enrichment visits to local and national galleries and events and will receive visiting artist lecturers and yearly artist residencies will enhance your learning experience.
