The PHOTOGRAPHY BA (HONS) TOP-UP DEGREE is a one-year programme designed for those who have previously completed a HND or foundation degree in photography. Taught over two full days per week, it offers flexibility for balancing work or family commitments while providing an immersive learning experience. The curriculum is industry-led, combining technical mastery with creative exploration, and is supported by trips to leading galleries in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Antwerp. Students benefit from access to a wide range of facilities, including small to large format cameras, studio lighting, digital post-production suites, Adobe software, and traditional darkroom resources. The course is enriched by guest speakers from across the photographic spectrum, offering insights into documentary, fine art, and editorial practice. Modules such as the Final Major Project, Creative and Professional Futures, and Dissertation encourage independent thinking and the development of a distinctive visual language. Assessment is varied and practical, encompassing portfolios, production reports, coursework, formal examinations, and presentations.
