About this programme
Our joint honours course allows you to explore your interests in Criminology and Anthropology while building a solid foundation in both subjects. You'll gain a range of personal and professional skills that will serve as a springboard for your future career. The programme is designed to help you gradually develop your knowledge and skills, so you can become an effective and independent learner. Criminology is a wide-ranging, interdisciplinary subject that analyses the nature, occurrence, and explanations of crime, criminal behaviour, and society's responses to these phenomena. In Anthropology, you will explore what makes us human, what drives our diversity, and how we are connected to our environment. The programme is distinguished by its strong links between research and undergraduate teaching. Its design, content, and delivery have all been shaped by the extensive research experience and competencies of our staff. We are Top 20 in the UK: Criminology and Anthropology is ranked 16th in the Guardian Anthropology and Archaeology subject league ranking 2025. Wherever possible we make our conditional offers using the UCAS Tariff. The combination of A-level grades listed here would be just one way of achieving the UCAS Tariff points for this course. Applications are also welcomed for consideration from applicants with European qualifications, international qualifications or recognised foundation courses. For advice on eligibility please contact Admissions: admissions@brookes.ac.uk If you don’t achieve the required tariff points you can apply to join a foundation course.
