About this programme

Journalism is an essential part of everyone's lives. It shapes how people view the world and gives you the opportunity to make a difference. It also gives you that chance to follow your passions, travel, explore, and experience things that many can only dream about. At Lincoln you graduate armed with two qualifications. Not only will you finish the course with your BA (Hons) degree, you will also be rewarded with a diploma from the industry accreditation body, the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). The NCTJ diploma is widely recognised across the industry and for most employers it is an essential part of your CV. During the course you'll learn how to research, investigate, create, and share stories across digital, broadcast, social, print, podcast, and video platforms. It combines practical newsroom experience with industry insight, helping you develop the confidence to report accurately, think critically, and create content that audiences trust. You'll work like a journalist: finding stories, interviewing people, producing multimedia content, and meeting real deadlines. Whether you're interested in news reporting, sports, podcasts, documentaries, social media, digital content, PR, or communications, this course is designed to help you discover your strengths and build a professional portfolio you can turn into a fulfilling and exciting career. Chris spent his childhood commentating on computer games in his room and used his time at Lincoln to pursue his passion for sports journalism by starting a show on the University's on-campus community radio
