About this programme
Graduate outcomes: Strathclyde ranked joint 1st in Scotland HESA Graduate Outcomes results 2026 Ranked: Top 10 in the UK for Education and Law (The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027) Facilities: Education Resource Centre - the best resource of its kind in Scotland There are a number of ways you can study law at Strathclyde, one such way being the BA degree in combination with another subject. Law is concerned with the study of the obligations, duties and rights which every member of society has in relation to one another and to the state. The study of law is regarded not as purely vocational, but part of a broader education. Please note, however, that studying law within the BA degree will not qualify you for entry to the legal profession. For professional qualifications in Law students follow the LLB programme. Education is essential if you're hoping to study initial teacher education courses. We offer you the chance to develop knowledge of the education systems of Scotland and beyond, looking at issues including policy, social justice, equity and inclusion. You'll have the opportunity to put theory into practice in a community placement and enhance your employability. Combining education with other subjects provides opportunities for those who wish to work in professions associated with education, but who don't wish necessarily to become teachers. Please note that this course doesn't allow you to qualify as a teacher, though joint honours Education graduates will be able to explore postgraduate routes into teaching careers (via the Professional Graduate
