About this programme
If you want to inspire children, make a difference every day and graduate ready to teach, our Primary Education (5–11) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) degree is designed for you. Over three years, you will develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to become an outstanding primary school teacher. You will learn how children develop and how to create engaging learning experiences that help every pupil succeed. Alongside studying the primary National Curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science and foundation subjects, you will explore the latest educational research and apply it in real classroom settings. A key feature of the course is the extensive school-based training. Each year you will complete professional placements in our network of high-quality partner schools, gaining hands-on experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will also benefit from intensive training and practice opportunities that help bridge theory and classroom practice. As a Hope Teacher, you will develop a strong moral purpose, a commitment to inclusion and the confidence to support learners from all backgrounds. Graduating with both a degree and QTS means you will be fully prepared to begin your teaching career immediately. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and/or vulnerable adults, and we expect all trainees to share this commitment. All successful applicants onto our ITE programmes will be subject to appropriate pre-course checks in line with DfE requirements, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring
