About this programme

The MEng in Mechatronics and Robotics programme offers a multidisciplinary, project-based learning experience that cultivates advanced professional skills, fosters independent problem-solving, and promotes leadership. Please note: this course is now closed. Explore MEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering or BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering as alternative options. This programme has been accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for the 2025 to 2029 intake years under the following terms: The accredited MEng fully meets the exemplifying academic benchmark requirements, for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). MEng (Hons) 5 years full-time with a minimum 30-week placement or 4 years full-time. You will be enrolled onto the 5-year degree, but can opt out of the placement year. Foundation year: 6 years full-time with a 30-week placement or 5 years full-time. Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) and Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Mathematics (or Physics) and a Science or Technology subject. Excluded subjects: General Studies For September 2026 entry : 120–128 UCAS tariff points (A-level grades BBB–ABB) including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications. We also accept a wide range of vocational qualifications including BTEC Extended Diploma (grade DDM) and T Levels (Merit). You’ll find many more listed in the table below.
