About this programme
Do you want to work in an industry which transforms the ways in which we experience the world – whether on stage or on screen? If so, the joint Theatre and Film Production degree at Brunel may be just what you’re looking for! In addition to your theatre coursework, you will have the opportunity to make short films whilst studying on a range of modules that focus on how screen media have been variously theorised. You will have the flexibility to map your own route through the programme by combining theory and practice modules in a way that work best for you, and this joint degree can be as hands-on as you make it! On the theatre side of the programme, you will explore a wide variety of specialisms ranging from acting, applied drama, theatre making, musical theatre, physical theatre and playwriting. As a joint Theatre and Film Production student, you will have access to camera, sound, lighting and editing equipment through Brunel’s Media Teaching Centre. Training on the technology is embedded into this degree programme and as a student you have access to this equipment both in and out of term time. Finally, as a joint student, you can take advantage of the Film and Television’s partnerships with ScreenCraft Works and the BAFTA albert programme, among others. Our editing suites have up-to-date production software such as Adobe Creative Cloud; Avid Media Composer; Avid ProTools, and others. We also have a range of high quality camera (including a Netflix approved 12K camera), sound, lighting, and grip equipment for you to use throughout your degree – whether that is for cou
