About this programme

At St Andrews we explore the shape of religious belief and practice in our society. Studies focus primarily on Christian faith practices and consider the profound influence that the Jewish and Christian scriptures have had on Western civilisation. Our courses address both the significance of faith today and challenges to it. Divinity at St Andrews is open to those with different goals in mind: some may be looking to expand their worldview and scholarly knowledge, while others are looking to expand their own faith commitments or to be ordained. You can take the Biblical Studies MA and Theological Studies MA programmes with another subject as part of a joint degree. The Hebrew MA and New Testament MA programmes are not offered as a single Honours degree and can only be taken in combination with another subject as part of a joint degree. These courses provide supported entry into degree-level study for applicants who do not meet the minimum entry grades, but meet contextual criteria.
