About this programme

The Bachelor's Programme “Geodäsie und Geoinformation” (hereafter: Geodesy and Geoinformation) is all about planet Earth: How can the shape of our planet be determined with precision? How can changes be made visible and understood? Geodesy measures and describes the Earth – from the exact position of individual points to the movement of entire continents. Geoinformation and cartography transform this data into clear maps and models that help us better understand and visualise our environment. Whether in navigation, construction, or climate protection, geodetic methods play a crucial role everywhere. During the programme, you will learn how satellites survey the Earth, how landscapes are digitally recorded, and how changes such as sea-level rise or glacier melt are analysed. The necessary knowledge in mathematics, physics, and computer science is developed step by step throughout your studies. A detailed presentation of the Bachelor's programme in Geodesy and Geoinformation can be found at: geo-bachelor.at , opens an external URL in a new window There is no selection procedure for the Bachelor's Programme in Geodesy and Geoinformation.
