About this programme

Inspire the world with your creativity through our comprehensive two-year Visual Art Diploma program. RDP's curriculum serves as a robust foundation in the visual arts, equipping you with essential skills and knowledge, no matter your experience level. At RDP you'll have access to some of the best creative art studios in the province. Our studios are diverse and well-equipped, ensuring you have what you need to execute your creative vision. Our grads are known for the strong visual art foundation that they carry forward into their professional work. The Visual Art Diploma provides a comprehensive, focused education that will help you enter the creative sector as quickly as possible or transfer into further study. Take your art off the page and into the community. Visual Art students have helped create public art pieces for Kerry Wood Nature Centre, supported local workshops such as t‑shirt printing events and co-designed community art programs. These opportunities let you experiment, collaborate and build your portfolio through real‑world creative work. RDP is proud to have an official transfer agreement with Portage College. Graduates of Portage College’s Fine Arts Certificate can receive 31 credits toward the Visual Art Diploma, giving you a direct pathway into Year 2 of the program. The Visual Art Diploma can ladder into RDP's Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies . Expand your learning by adding advanced creative courses, arts and social sciences and a final capstone project.
