The Morning Health Care Assistant (HCA) Program is a combined delivery format (theory online, with lab and clinical components in person), with classes scheduled Monday to Friday . Morning and Evening classes—an ideal option for those balancing work and study. We are pleased to announce the upcoming intake dates for our Health Care Assistant (HCA) Program: Class Schedules: ·Morning Classes: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM ·Evening Classes: Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM This is a 26-week program (approximately 6 months) and can be completed without a study permit. You may enroll if you hold a valid work permit, study permit, or visitor visa. The HCA program is designed to provide students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to function effectively as front-line caregivers and respected members of the health care team. Under the direction and supervision of a regulated health professional, graduates provide person-centred care aimed at promoting and maintaining the physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and spiritual health and well-being of clients and families. Upon completion of the HCA program, graduates are prepared to work in a variety of practice settings including home support, assisted living, group homes, complex care, special care units, other home and community care settings, and acute care.
