About this programme
CapU's Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Financial Planning - Professional program is for people who work in financial services, have a degree and want to advance their financial advising career with a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) or Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP™) designation. A financial planner’s expertise guides clients through the challenges of investing, financing, retirement, estate and insurance planning to help them secure their financial future. This self-paced five-course program will take four terms to complete, with the capstone course completed each Spring term. The program is offered part-time and is designed exclusively for people who have a degree and are licensed in one of the following: Contact us today to learn how to complete the FP Canada™ Core and Advanced Curriculum in a classroom setting to qualify for the QAFP™ or CFP® exams. After passing your QAFP exam and building up on-the-job experience, you'll be ready to study for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensing exam. Financial planning is a growth industry in B.C., with thousands of job openings projected in the next decade and shortages of qualified candidates to fill those roles. Many financial planners start their practices and work directly with their clients. There are also options available at banks, investment houses and other financial institutions.
