Prerequisites

General Requirements: A] Evidence of: a) Work Experience: • At least two years of relevant work and/or research experience at the beginning of studies. b) Previous education requirement: • A Master’s degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. former German university diploma) obtained from a recognized college/Institute/University in Social Sciences, Business and Economics (depending on the field of study the learner chooses to focus). OR • A four years’ Bachelor’s degree obtained at First Class Honours or at Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent qualification (e.g. the former German university of applied sciences diploma) obtained from a recognized college/Institute/University in Social Sciences, Business and Economics (depending on the field of study the learner chooses to focus). In exceptional cases a candidate with substantial [10+ years of experience in a professional or senior managerial/business position], but without formal qualifications can be considered by the Doctoral Academic Committee on submission of a formal proposal. B] All applicants are required to submit a 2,000 words research proposal and to pass an interview to confirm that they are able to demonstrate the capability for doing independent research at MQF level 8. C] applicants must be able to confirm that they have: a) Equipment for online lectures and use of the VLE • Stable internet access via a personal computer (a tablet computer can also work; a mobile phone will not suffice)
