Complex Data Analysis Master programme (Ma/ MSc) Faculty of Sociology and Social Work CLUJ-NAPOCA Program description The aim of this MA is to give students the skills to become data analysts, preparing them for a career in data science. Four distinct types of knowledge are covered: (1) Programming languages needed to manage data and build data warehouses: SQL (2 courses), Python (3 courses), R (three courses). (2) Visual data exploration tools: chart types, dahsbord, infographics and reporting forms, using specialised tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, ArcGis. (3) predictive statistics and dimensional analysis tools through tools such as R, Python, JASP, Excel, ArcGIS, E-Views. (4) Mastering machine learning algorithms (3 courses in Python): data reduction and prediction algorithms, natural language processing, neural networks.
