Econometrics And Applied Statistics Master programme (Ma/ MSc) Faculty of Economics and Business Administration CLUJ-NAPOCA Program description The mai aim of the study programme is to train graduates in the field of social economic applications of statistics and econometrics. The twofold aspect of the programme (theoretical and practical) allows the development of top competencies in the professional environment as well as the preparation of a PhD in economics. ESA is a multisciplinary study programme. Due to the increase in the complexity and diversity of the application fields, the econometric analysis requires a specific programme where the necessary tools are studied first, prior to using them effectively. The content of the study programme covers three complementary directions: Core speciality disciplines from the field of statistics and econometrics. Following these dsciplines enables graduates to perform calculations and specific analyses irrespective of the nature and structure of the available data. Auxiliary disciplines that facilitate the understanding, further study or the use of knowledge from the core speciality disciplines. These provide the mathematical and IT support for the correct and effective comprehension and use of methodologies within the econometrics and statistics domains.
