About this programme
A second course in numerical analysis, which prepares you for an independent work where, for example, you model and simulate a physical phenomenon. The course proceeds with numerical analysis and introduces important basic concepts and how to work numerically with differential equations. Discretisation is particularly important and is used in two methods that are presented: the finite difference method and the finite element method. The course is assessed through a written exam, and written and oral presentations of the practical exercises and project. To follow your passion. To be close to international career opportunities. To explore city and countryside. In Stockholm you can really get the best of both worlds. Here we explain all the different steps you need to go through when applying to a course or programme. Stockholm University arranges regular webinars and participates in educational fairs and events virtually and around the world to meet students and inform them about our study programmes.
