About this programme

The course is an introduction to geochemistry. Basic chemical principles are applied to understand and explain geological and earth surface processes. The course introduces the geochemical principles and their application to the earth system. It includes, among others, introductory thermodynamics, chemical reactions and equilibria, acid/base and redox processes in geochemistry, and biogeochemistry. *If the PDF file is not accessible for you to read, kindly contact studies@geo.su.se Course evaluations allow the possibility to affect and take responsibility for your own learning and gives important information for our work with pedagogical development.
