Submarine geomorphology

About this programme

You will learn about fundamental geomorphological concepts, erosion and deposition processes in marine environments, as well as how marine landforms can be mapped and investigated with marine geophysical methods. The course will explore the significance of sea level change, ocean currents, and marine-terminating ice sheets and glaciers for the construction and distribution of different submarine landforms. The course is taught through lectures, seminars, and lab and computer projects. The course is given in English.
