About this programme
Our sociology and psychology degree explores society and the self by focusing on issues such as gender, identity, relationships and social inequalities. The psychology element of our BSc Hons Sociology and Psychology degree will give you an understanding of the brain, behaviour and experience. The course includes studies of perception, memory and emotion and the development of language. You will explore the way society works through sociological themes such as social justice, gender, crime and deviance, and ethnicity. The two sides of the course are brought together with an exploration of the socio-psychological processes that shape our relationships with each other and society. Our sociology and psychology graduates enter careers in areas such as youth and community work, welfare provision, charitable organisations and local and national government. This course is being refreshed for 2027/8 building-in employability, real-world problem solving skills, and wellbeing initiatives for a future-focused learning experience. Modules shown are indicative topics and will be updated in Spring 2027. Course information is currently unavailable for this programme. Please contact course-info@gre.ac.uk for more information. You will be taught by an experienced team of experts, which includes senior academics, and practitioners with industry experience. Trained postgraduate researchers may also contribute to seminar teaching with the module leader. Teaching is informed by our research and consultancy work.
