This BA (Hons) Media and Communications degree at Cardiff Met is uniquely designed to bridge theory and practice by developing your digital design , critical thinking , and media writing skills. The degree enables you to develop knowledge and skills that are essential for a career in the media, marketing and communications industries. From becoming a researcher or policy maker, to working as a content creator for an organisation or charity, to being your own boss as a media owner or freelance journalist, this degree works with you to draw upon your own interests, empowering you to become a specialist in your chosen field. This could include the fields of sport, music, film, TV, gaming, social media, or science to name just a few. The second-year placement and related optional modules, as well as collaborative projects and real-world simulations, are embedded throughout the degree to ensure that you will gain invaluable work experience and opportunities to develop your entrepreneurial competencies.
