About this programme

Fine Art at Lincoln is about developing you as a skilful, thoughtful and professional artist - even if you're not sure exactly what kind of creative professional you want to be. Our course is multi-disciplinary, industry-engaged, and community-informed. You will explore disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, digital media, live-performance, and mixed-media techniques. You are at the centre. Our skilled lecturing team, all practising artists, will help you to develop your unique style and voice. Alongside practical studio work, lectures and seminars, you'll learn how to present your work professionally. You will exit having built a digital portfolio and with understanding of how the creative industry works. As a graduate you will have honed your unique artistic practice and be employability focused, ready to take your next step as an artist, teacher, community practitioner, curator, and beyond, with confidence. This course combines creative freedom with real-world preparation, helping you turn your artistic talent and passion into something tangible. All Fine Art students have access to studios and workshops, as well as the University’s on-campus public gallery, Project Space Plus, where students regularly exhibit their work. Students can make use of software that supports their documentation and practice, and have access to photography, video, and audio facilities; acrylic resist etching, digital imagery, and screen printing equipment; and facilities for wood, metal, plaster, plastics, and resin work.
