About this programme

Dance is a way to communicate ideas, tell stories, collaborate with others, and build a creative career. Whether you want to perform professionally, choreograph original work, teach, produce live events, or explore movement for film and digital media, BA (Hons) Dance at the University of Lincoln is designed to help you develop your artistic voice and practical industry skills. This course combines contemporary dance training with choreography, performance-making, creative collaboration, and critical thinking. You'll learn through studio practice, live projects, workshops, rehearsals, and performance opportunities while developing the confidence and versatility needed for today's creative industries. At Lincoln, you'll create, perform, experiment, and refine your work in a supportive creative environment. You'll have access to six studio and rehearsal spaces, including three dance studios with sprung flooring, as well as the Lincoln Arts Centre Theatre. The programme also holds public showcases twice a year in the professional theatre at Lincoln Arts Centre, giving you opportunities to share your work with an audience. You can build a portfolio, develop your professional skills, and begin shaping your future from the start of your degree. During my time at Lincoln, I have had the opportunity to develop myself as a dancer, performer, and choreographer. What first attracted me to Dance at Lincoln was the variety of modules that were on offer, and I felt these would enable me to grow in all areas of my dance practice.
