About this programme
Climate change. Natural hazards. Food security. Inequality. Migration. Sustainable cities. Geography helps explain how people, places, and environments connect and how we respond to some of the biggest challenges facing society today. At the University of Lincoln, BA (Hons) Geography is designed for students who want to understand real-world issues and build practical skills that employers value. You'll explore both human and environmental geography, combining social, political, cultural, and environmental perspectives to understand how the world is changing at local, national, and global levels. This is a course for curious, analytical people who want more than theory alone. You'll learn through fieldwork, research projects, data analysis, and applied problem-solving, developing skills that can lead to careers across sustainability, planning, consultancy, government, education, business, and environmental management. This programme has been accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Accredited degree programmes must contain a solid academic foundation in geographical knowledge and skills, and prepare graduates to address the needs of the world beyond higher education. The accreditation criteria require evidence that graduates from accredited programmes meet defined sets of learning outcomes, including subject knowledge, technical ability, and transferable skills. Designed for real-world careers Build skills in research, data analysis, problem-solving, and communication that are valued across environmental, government, business, and consultancy sectors
