About this programme
Please note that this course is now closed for new applications for 2026/27 entry. We still have spaces available on many of our related Health and Care courses, including nursing, pharmacy, and social care. Search related courses This programme is subject to approval by the UK General Medical Council. The University of Nottingham is the contingency School as part of this process. Medicine at Lincoln Medical School is undergoing accreditation by the General Medical Council (GMC). The GMC will make a final decision relating to the University of Lincoln being added to the list of approved providers in the final year of the course. Should the approval not be received, students will graduate with a University of Nottingham BMBS degree, which entitles graduates to provisionally register with the GMC and apply to the UK Foundation Programme. Medicine is the study of how the human body works, what causes illness, how to diagnose patients, and how to treat them effectively. On this course, you'll develop the clinical skills, judgement, and confidence needed to become a practising doctor. At Lincoln, you'll train in a purpose-built medical school, work directly with patients early in your degree, and learn alongside healthcare professionals in real clinical environments. This means you graduate not just with knowledge, but with the practical experience and professional mindset healthcare employers expect. If you're comparing medical schools, the key question is simple: will this course prepare me to be a capable, confident doctor? At Lincoln, the focus is on exactly that.
