About this programme
Physics with Astrophysics explores the laws that govern everything from subatomic particles to stars, galaxies, and black holes. On this course, you'll study how the universe works while developing practical, mathematical, and computational skills that are valued across science and technology. At Lincoln, you will apply them through laboratory work, research projects, coding, and problem-solving activities that reflect how physics is used in the real world. You'll learn how scientists investigate major questions about space, matter, energy, and the cosmos, specifically how those same analytical skills transfer into a wide range of careers. Our modules explore key topics in astrophysics, taking you from curious individual to skilled physicist ready to apply your knowledge in the real world. We provide an in-depth look at astrophysics compared to other courses, with modules such as Electricity, Magnetism, Thermal and Quantum Physics; Statistical and Quantum Physics; The Solar System and Exoplanets; Stars and Stellar Evolution; Galactic and Extra Galactic Astronomy; and Cosmology and General Relativity. If you're curious about space, technology, and how the world works, this course offers a strong foundation. Designed for transferable careers Develop skills in problem-solving, coding, mathematics, and data analysis that employers value across multiple sectors Study physics and space science together Explore astrophysics alongside core physics topics including relativity, quantum physics, and cosmology Learn through practical experience Build hands-on experience through lab
