About this programme
Our Mathematics BSc will give you a broad and rigorous education across a wide range of mathematics. You will develop a strong foundation in core areas before choosing from a wide selection of optional modules that allow you to pursue your own interests as you progress. In your first and second years, you'll cover core subjects like calculus, algebra, probability and statistics. From your second year onwards, you can choose to specialise in specific areas or explore a broad range of subjects. Our third-year options are extensive, ranging from pure mathematics to financial mathematics, and from statistics to theoretical physics. In your third year you can also choose to apply your learning across three years by tackling a dissertation aligned to your interests, benefiting from close supervision by one of our world-leading experts. You may transfer to the four-year Mathematics with a Year Abroad BSc programme and spend your third year studying abroad before returning to complete a final year with us. This depends on you reaching a certain grade average and being accepted by a partner university. The Department of Mathematics at King’s College London has a long and distinguished history as a world-leading centre for research and education. By joining us, you will learn from and work alongside some of the foremost mathematical minds in the world.
