About this programme

In RDP’s Bachelor of Applied Arts in Film Production, you’ll train like a working filmmaker from your very first semester. You’ll write, plan, shoot, edit and screen your own projects while learning how professional sets run and how stories move from script to screen. You’ll collaborate with students across RDP’s Creative Arts programs and build the technical skills and production mindset that prepare you for work in film, TV, streaming and digital media. Across four years, you’ll build a strong portfolio of short films, collaborative projects and productions that showcase your style, skills and storytelling voice. Helping you launch into your film career with confidence. You’ll spend your final year building a major film project or completing a placement in a relevant sector of the film industry. During your program, you’ll also learn from visiting professionals, attend field trips and see behind‑the‑scenes workflows in real productions. In 2025, Film Production Students got the ultimate insider access to see how filmmaking and movie production actually happens behind the scenes.
