About this programme

This two-year diploma program prepares you to become an innovative entrepreneur in a variety of industries where visual content creation is in high demand. Building on the basic principles of photography, videography and storytelling, it incorporates visual communication strategies, with a strong emphasis on social media, to prepare you for a successful career. The program’s innovative curriculum blends photography, in the studio and on location, with a wide range of modern applications and technologies. This allows you to develop a comprehensive foundation in both traditional platforms and digital media. In addition, you will explore emerging visual content technologies like virtual reality, artificial intelligence (AI) image generation and drone photography. Through a unique capstone project that incorporates photography, moving images and alternative media, this program will help you refine your skills, flex your creativity and develop a strong portfolio you can use for your career. This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format with some courses available in Seneca's flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements. In courses delivered in the flexible format, using interactive learning spaces, professors teach in person to students in a physical classroom or lab and stream to students online at the same time. Students have a choice of coming to campus for an in-person experience or learning online.
