Bahrain eVisa from Bangladesh: NPRA approval, 3 to 5 working days, two payments
Last checked against official sources on
Bangladesh is entry 122 on the official "Countries Eligible to Get Visa Online" list, and it also appears on the "On Arrival" list page 12. The portal adds: "Terms and conditions apply, please click on the country name to check your Visa eligibility" 2. The site calls itself "the only official website to Apply for a Visa to the Kingdom of Bahrain" and warns "Holding a Visa does not guarantee you entry" 3.
How the application runs
Applications go through "the NPRA Process" (NPRA is the authority that decides), and approval comes by notification email 3. The steps are:
- Complete the eligibility check and choose a visa type.
- Fill in the form and upload your documents.
- Pay the application fee by credit card online and note the Application Reference Number.
- Wait for the NPRA approval email.
- Use "Pay for Application" on the home page to retrieve the application, then pay the visa fee with the reference number 4.
So payment is split: the application fee first, the visa fee only after approval 3. If the application is not approved, the processing fee is not refunded and you are told by email to contact NPRA 3.
How long it takes
The portal says about 3 to 5 working days for a visitor eVisa. NPRA emails when a decision is made, and exceptional cases may take longer 5.
No student visa on this portal
The eVisa FAQ and service list show no study or student visa. The only residence service listed is the Golden Residency Visa 5. The portal has a "Register New Guarantor" function and a "Registered User Login" 3. If your nationality is not eligible or you do not qualify without a guarantor, a local company, organisation or citizen can sponsor 5.
Checking status
Bahrain's government services site has a visa request status function, and it sits behind a login 6. If you lose your reference number, write to NPRA with your name, nationality and passport number, from the same email address you used to apply 5.
Have the Application Reference Number from step 3 ready for the check above this article.
