Does Bangladesh need a visa?

Qatar's tourism site lists Bangladesh in its Tourist Visas group. Citizens of those countries pay a fee for a visa on arrival, or apply for a tourist visa before travel on the Hayya platform. Bangladesh is not in the visa-free group, which covers 102 countries ⁴. The Hayya tourist visa cost stated on the page is QAR 100. Processing time is not stated there ⁴.

Study

Visit Qatar lists these documents for students ¹:

• A confirmation letter from the college.
• A passport valid for six months after you finish your studies.
• Financial documents showing you can pay student fees.
• A health check report with a blood test, chest X-ray and HIV test.

The same page says turnaround is typically 72 hours and directs students to apply online through a third-party e-visa site ¹. The Qatar tourism pages describe only tourist, GCC resident and A3 visa types, so they do not cover a student visa ⁴. The fee and the official Ministry of Interior procedure for a student visa are not confirmed, because the official government page for the educational residence visa did not open when we checked. We also could not confirm whether the Qatar Visa Centre in Dhaka still works.

How to check your status

The Hayya portal has a "Track your E-Visa" page at hayya.qa/en/visa-inquiry ³. It asks for:

• Entry Reference Number OR Passport Number.
• Nationality, from a dropdown.

It also has Reset and Submit buttons. The page heading is "Application Details", and no status wording appears before you search ³. We have no list of status messages, so read what the page shows after you submit.
