Since 1 September 2025, every foreign visitor to Somalia must apply online through the eTAS system (etas.gov.so) before travelling ¹. The Immigration and Citizenship Agency of the Federal Government of Somalia runs it ¹.

The agency describes eTAS as offering "clear requirements and online tracking" ². Its pages list entry visas, visa extensions, visa-on-arrival information, and residence and work permits ². A student visa is not among them ².
