Turkey student visa from Dhaka: Mosaic Visa and why the e-Visa will not work
Last checked against official sources on
On this page
Since 1 February 2026, the only authorised visa application centre in Bangladesh for Türkiye is Mosaic Visa, at House 77, Block M, Road 11, Banani, Dhaka 1. The Embassy of Türkiye in Dhaka announced this on 2 February 2026, and the embassy's consular section decides applications 1.
Do not use the e-Visa for study
Türkiye's e-Visa (evisa.gov.tr) is valid only for tourism or commerce, so it cannot be used for study 3. Study visas are issued by a Turkish embassy or consulate, not through the e-Visa system 3.
Ordinary Bangladeshi passport holders need a visa. Those holding a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit may be able to get a one-month single-entry e-Visa if conditions are met, but that is still a tourism and commerce document 3.
The embassy's status lookup
The embassy website has a foreigner visa pre-application form. It also links a pre-application status lookup, "Yabancılar için Vize Ön Başvurusu Sorgulama" 2. I could not confirm which details the lookup asks for, or what status words it returns.
After you arrive
If you will study in Türkiye, you must register at the nearest local police department when you arrive, whatever your visa's validity 3. Your passport should be valid for at least 60 days beyond the end of the visa's stay 3.
Contacts and gaps
The embassy site lists an Honorary Consulate General of Turkey in Chittagong and a 24/7 consular call centre on +90 312 292 29 29 2. The sources I used give no study visa document list and no processing time, so ask Mosaic Visa or the embassy for both.
If you applied through Mosaic Visa, use the pre-application details you were given when you run the status check above.
