Yemen student visa: what the Yemeni embassy publishes
Last checked against official sources on
The only official Yemeni visa page we could read is from the Embassy of Yemen in Washington DC, and it lists student visas only for US passport holders and US residents 1. No official source confirmed which Yemeni mission serves Bangladesh.
That embassy's list still shows what Yemen asks of a student: a letter of acceptance from the institution in Yemen stating the nature and length of study, and an invitation letter from Yemen's Department of Immigration 1. It also asks for the application form, a passport valid for at least six months past departure, two colour photos and a doctor's letter confirming no contagious disease 1. Its fee is USD 65, and it says it is not issuing tourist visas at this time 1. It gives no processing time for student visas 1.
Ask your institution in Yemen to arrange the Department of Immigration invitation first, then contact a Yemeni embassy about where to lodge it. Keep that invitation's details ready for the status check above.
