Burkina Faso's long-stay visa (visa de long séjour), valid for more than 90 days, has a Study/Training category. Its fee is 126,500 F CFA ². The documents are ²:

• valid passport
• completed, dated and signed application form
• one 3.5 x 4.5 cm colour photo on a white background
• proof of the reason for the stay (for students, proof of enrolment or a tuition receipt)
• medical certificate showing no contagious disease
• proof of sponsorship in Burkina Faso or sufficient income
• health insurance covering the stay
• receipt for stamp duty

Where to apply

The official e-visa site, visaburkina.bf, offers online application for stays under 90 days. It also lists "En ambassade" (at an embassy) and "Au service de la migration" (at the migration service, for renewal) as ways to obtain a visa ¹.

On the embassy route, an embassy agent registers the file and the fee is paid in cash or electronically, which adds operator fees. The embassy notifies the decision, and an approved applicant gets the e-visa as a PDF or printout to show at the port of entry ³. The decision comes about 72 hours after submission, when the applicant returns to the embassy to collect the response ³. The page names no mission in Dhaka ³.
