Chad e-visa status for Bangladeshis: evisa.td and your EVT reference
Last checked against official sources on
An article dated 11 May 2026 says "toutes les demandes de visa se font désormais exclusivement en ligne" (all visa applications are now made online only) 2. From 11 May 2026 new applications must go through the platform. After 21 May 2026 a visa issued outside it is invalid. Visas issued before that stay valid until they expire, and manual entry authorisations are permanently abolished 2. The platform covers all visa categories except diplomatic and courtesy visas, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handles 2.
Who decides and who is exempt
Chad's e-Visa sub-directorate (D.E.I Tchad) decides through the platform, and no mission is named for Bangladesh 1. The portal lists "Pays exemptés" (exempted countries), and Bangladesh is not on that list 1. A new tariff grid was set by joint order n°033/PR/PM/MFBEPCI/MSPI/2026, but the article does not give the amounts 2.
Rules from the portal FAQ
- Applying at least 7 days before entry is recommended, and you cannot apply more than 90 days before.
- An issued e-Visa cannot be modified, because the process is automated.
- If it expires during your stay, apply for an extension to the Direction de l'Emigration et de l'Immigration.
- Contact: contact@evisa.td or +235 68 00 11 45 1.
The portal does not publish a student visa category or document list in what we read.
Tracking your application
The home page has "Suivre ma demande" (follow my application) and "Vérifier votre visa" (check your visa) 1. The official tracker asks for one thing: your application reference, which is "EVT" followed by 17 digits, for example EVT26183149069107224 1. If the portal answers "Votre demande est introuvable", no application matches that reference, so check you typed all 17 digits 1. The article gives no processing time 2.
Have your EVT reference ready for the check above this article.
