Gabon visa: 15-day processing, residence card for stays over 90 days
Last checked against official sources on
Gabon's foreign ministry says entry to Gabon is conditional on a visa of no more than 3 months. Information is available at Gabonese embassies and consular posts abroad, and the embassy or consulate that receives the application decides. Processing is normally 15 days once the application is made and may be longer 1.
Studying
The short-stay visa of up to 90 days lists studies among the purposes of the trip. Gabonese missions do not issue long-stay visas of over 90 days. For a longer stay, the person reports to the Direction Générale de la Documentation et de l'Immigration one month after arrival to request a residence card 1. The documents listed for the short-stay visa are:
- a passport valid at least three months beyond the stay
- a completed and signed application form
- two identical recent photos
- a visa for the destination country, as listed
- documents proving the purpose of the trip (family visit, business, studies) and the conditions of stay, such as a hotel booking or host
- proof of enough means for the stay and the return 1
There is also an e-visa portal at evisa.dgdi.ga 2. No Gabonese mission in Bangladesh was found, and whether Bangladesh needs a visa is not confirmed. Ask a Gabonese embassy before applying.
Keep your application confirmation at hand for the status check above.
