Liberia visa on arrival: USD 102.5 fee, and why it excludes study

Liberia's Visa on Arrival portal, launched on 11 March 2025, does not cover study travel 2. The Liberia Immigration Service visa page covers only the visa on arrival and re-entry permit systems 2.
The portal is for tourism, business or transit, and the visit is single-trip only 1. The fee is USD 102.5 and non-refundable. Apply at least 7 days before the flight and no more than 3 months ahead 1. The passport must be valid for 6 months and a recent photo is needed. Approved applicants get a confirmation email with a PDF and a QR code 1.
The portal says that if your country has a Liberian embassy, you must apply at that embassy and not through the portal 1. Whether that applies to Bangladesh was not confirmed. No Liberian official page read describes a student visa 12.
