Niger visa for Bangladeshis: 15 days at a Nigerien embassy
Last checked against official sources on
The Niger Ministry of Foreign Affairs page "Entree au Niger" says that the time to issue a visa is 15 days ("Le delai de delivrance de visa est de 15 jours") 1. It says all foreigners must hold a passport with a Nigerien visa unless a bilateral or community agreement exempts them 1. Air transit without leaving the airport needs no visa 1. The page carries a 2017 copyright, so it may be out of date 1.
Where to apply and who decides
You apply at a Nigerien diplomatic or consular office, in principle where you live 1. The ministry page does not name a mission for Bangladesh 1. Its embassy list shows an embassy in New Delhi but does not say it covers Bangladesh 2.
Exceptionally, a visa can be granted at the point of entry when the applicant comes from a country where Niger has no diplomatic or consular office 1. The Interior Minister authorises it, and your sponsor files the request with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1.
Documents and fee
The consular service asks for 1:
- your passport and a copy 1
- the visa application form, completed and signed in duplicate 1
- two recent 4x4 photographs, head uncovered 1
Each mission sets its own chancery fee 1. The ministry pages do not publish a student visa category or a status check, so ask the mission you apply to for both.
