Argentina student visa from Dhaka: email package 45 days ahead, then an embassy interview

Bangladeshi students apply through the Embassy of Argentina in Dhaka. The embassy books an in-person consular interview only after you email the complete application package 45 days before the trip and pay the visa fee through the bank. This is from the embassy page updated 13 May 2026 1.
Where and how
The embassy is at Plot 50, Road 23, 1st Floor, Block B, Banani, Dhaka 1213 2. Send visa questions to visas.ebang@mrecic.gov.ar with a scan of your passport and the purpose of your visit 1. You must submit the application yourself. The embassy accepts none from travel agencies, representatives or anyone acting for you 1. Visa fees are not refunded, even if the application is rejected 1.
Two student visas, split by length of study
The Argentine Foreign Ministry has a student visa for study under 365 days and another for study over 365 days 34. The consular fee is USD 150 for the shorter one and USD 250 for the longer one, paid in local currency 34. The longer visa can only be submitted at the consular office where you live 4.
Documents named by the ministry 34:
- passport valid at least 6 months when you enter Argentina, with at least 2 blank pages
- two 4 x 4 cm colour photos on a white background
- the signed visa form and your programme of study
- proof that the institution filed your details electronically with the National Directorate of Migration (the institution must be registered with RENURE and have its number)
- proof of enough money for your stay and studies
- if you are 16 or older, an apostilled or legalised good-conduct certificate from countries where you lived more than a year in the past three years, plus a signed statement of no criminal record. For the shorter visa these apply only if you travel more than 6 months; for the longer visa they apply to everyone 16 and over
- the migration fee, for the longer visa only
- a consular interview
- for a minor, permission from both parents and the name of the guardian in Argentina
These are the ministry's general lists. I found no Dhaka-specific student page, so the embassy may ask for more.
What to expect from the decision
The ministry says meeting every requirement does not guarantee a visa, which "remains at the exclusive option of the Argentine State". Consular staff may ask for extra documents 3. Argentina's AVE Turista online authorisation is for tourists, not for study 5. The embassy also says Argentina is not offering immigration programmes or work abroad opportunities, and that anyone claiming otherwise is committing fraud 1.
I found no processing time or consular status tracker. After your interview, ask the embassy how it will tell you the result, and keep your payment receipt handy for the status check on this page.
