Last checked against official sources on
Kiribati's Immigration Division lists Bangladesh among its featured visa-exempt countries under the Visa Exemption Order 2023, in force from 1 September 2023, with a maximum stay of 90 days in any 12-month period 1. Exempt visitors get a visitor visa on arrival for tourism and visiting family and friends only, up to 3 months. Work needs a Work Visa before travel 1.
Student visa
Kiribati has a separate Student Visa for school or college enrolment, training and approved research. It costs $150 for a new visa and $90 for renewal 1. The documents listed are 1:
- proof of acceptance from an accredited institution
- proof of financial means
- return travel arrangements
- a research permit from the Office of Te Beretitenti, if research applies
- a passport valid 6 months beyond departure
- medical clearance
The page does not say whether a Bangladeshi student needs the student visa, and it gives no submission route or processing time. Only the featured list was read, not the full exemption list 1.
