Marshall Islands visa for Bangladeshis: apply to the Majuro immigration office directly
Last checked against official sources on
The Division of Immigration contact page lists no overseas offices or consulates, so applicants deal directly with the Majuro office 2. You apply to the Division of Immigration (Passport/Immigration Office, Delap, P.O. Box 890, Majuro MH 96960) in person, by mail, or by emailing scanned documents 12. The contact is majuro.doi@gmail.com, (692) 625-8633 or 4572 1.
Do you need a visa
A visa is required before travel for "All other nationalities" not on the no-visa or visa-on-arrival lists 1. We did not read the Ministry's visa-on-arrival list, so we cannot say whether Bangladesh is on it. Ask the Majuro office.
Students
The Division lists a Student (S-1) visa under its Live & Work section, and its requirements were not on the page we read 1. The visitor visa page says the V-1 covers research or study visits, which need proof of qualifications, but that student entry is handled under the separate S-1 category 1.
The V-1 visitor visa
The V-1 documents are 1:
- an application form
- a passport valid at least 6 months from departure
- two passport photos
- an itinerary with a confirmed return or onward ticket
- a letter stating the purpose and length of the visit
- a hotel booking or host contact details
- a health certificate and a current police clearance record
- proof of funds
- proof of the application fee
The V-1 fee is $100 and non-refundable. Visa-on-arrival eligible nationals are exempt 1. Processing does not start until all documents are received, and the page gives no processing time 1.
Who decides and appeals
A processing officer, the deputy director, and the director or a delegate review applications. A denial comes with written reasons and may be appealed to the Attorney General under section 170 of the Immigration Act 2006 1.
The pages we read describe no online status check, so email or call the Majuro office, and quote your name and passport number.
