Papua New Guinea student visa: ICA's 10 working days and USD 40 fee
Last checked against official sources on
The Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICA) says a student visa takes 10 working days if all requirements are met 1. That figure is from its 2025 visa booklet and is not specific to Bangladesh 1.
The class is "Formal Education". The ICA fee table lists USD 40 for the visa, USD 75 for an extension and USD 380 for a late extension 1. You need 1:
- an undertaking or sponsor letter signed at managerial level, giving the reason for stay, extension and a guarantee of financial support
- an acceptance letter from the school registrar
- the application form, signed by you
- a copy of your passport bio page
- the prescribed migration fee
Student applications are submitted manually. The ICA says to apply through its website, www.ica.gov.pg, and not through third-party sites 1. The booklet lists a PNG High Commission in New Delhi among its overseas missions, but does not say which post serves Bangladesh 1.
Have your application form and fee receipt details ready for the status check above.
