To get a Vanuatu student visa you must show funds of at least 40,000 Vatu per month, and also leave a security deposit equal to the price of an air ticket home 1. The Vanuatu Department of Immigration and Passport Services, in Port Vila, decides 1.
Documents
The student visa page lists:
- a completed, signed application form, which you can get online from the department's website
- a valid passport (certified copies of the bio-data and used pages if you are outside Vanuatu)
- two passport photos
- proof of enrolment and an offer letter
- the security deposit
- proof of funds
- medical examination results, for applicants aged 18 and over 1
Fees
The fee is 14,400 Vatu for applicants aged 18 and over, and 2,880 Vatu for under 18s 1. If you believe you are exempt, you must provide documents showing it 1. The visa is granted for the period of the programme of study 1.
