Albania visa status from Bangladesh: e-Visa portal and tracking number
Last checked against official sources on
The Embassy of Albania in the UK directs foreign citizens who need a visa to the Albanian e-Visa portal, e-visa.al, and tells applicants not to make travel plans until the visa is granted 1.
For foreign citizens who need a visa, the passport must be valid at least 3 months beyond the length of the requested visa and have at least 2 blank pages. A copy of the data pages must go with it 1.
Long stays
Albania's Type D visa is the long-stay visa. It is valid for one year, with a stay of 90 days, for single, two or multiple entries. It is meant for foreigners who plan to live in Albania for more than 90 days within 180 days 2. Applicants not otherwise covered apply at the Albanian embassy "geographically closest to their country of origin or residency" 2.
Holders of a valid multi-entry Schengen C or D visa, or a residence permit of a Schengen state, can enter, stay and transit Albania without a visa within the validity of that visa or permit. The stay is 90 days in 180 days, and the person must report to the General Border Directorate of Migration within 30 days. The page does not name Bangladesh 3.
Checking an application
The official e-Visa tracker asks for one thing: the tracking number 4. If Albania's system has no matching application it answers "No application found with this tracking number" 4. Any other reply shows the status text the portal gives.
A second tool on the same site checks an issued visa. It asks for the visa serial number and the passport number, and answers "No visa found with this serial number" when nothing matches 4.
Have your e-Visa tracking number ready for the status check on this page.
